Pilario is the complete platform for product Life Cycle Assessment. Sustainability and R&D teams build models in RangeLCA, assess products in Lens, and collect verified supplier data with Origin. Behind the platform sit 33 years of LCA legacy and more than 88,000 LCAs calculated, and companies such as L'Oreal, Nestle Waters, Carlsberg, Ball and Vetropack rely on our work.
This role sits where the platform meets the people using it. You take new customers from kick-off to their first verified results, and you stay with them afterwards as the LCA expert on the account: building models, reviewing assessments, interpreting results and making sure the numbers hold up. Customer success is part of this job, not a separate team: onboarding, training, adoption, renewal and account growth are yours to own.
Using AI to work faster
AI fluency is not a bonus here, it is expected. We want someone who already uses AI to take hours of repetitive work out of their week, and we will ask you about it in the interview.
You use AI tools daily and can show us concretely where they save time: cleaning data, chasing suppliers, drafting reports, summarising documentation, preparing training material.
You build your own small automations, prompts and workflows instead of waiting for someone else to build them for you.
You have judgement about verification. In LCA a plausible number that is wrong is worse than no number, so anything AI produces gets checked before it reaches a customer.
You are curious about Atlas, our AI assistant, and want a say in what it should automate in data import and modelling, and where a human has to stay in the loop.
What you will do
Own onboarding end to end: kick-off, data collection plan, first models live in RangeLCA and first product footprints computed in Lens.
Build and review LCA models and product carbon footprints, and produce reports that stand up to ISO 14040/44, ISO 14067 and PEF scrutiny.
Act as the LCA expert on your accounts: challenge assumptions, explain allocation and system boundary choices, and guide eco-design decisions.
Train users, run workshops and webinars, and grow adoption inside each account.
Run supplier data collection campaigns with Origin, and turn incomplete primary data into usable inputs.
Spot renewal and expansion signals early, and work with sales on both.
Feed recurring customer friction back to the product team, including how our AI assistant Atlas should behave.
Contribute to our knowledge base, glossary and methodology documentation.
What we are looking for
2 to 5 years of hands-on LCA experience in consultancy, an industrial sustainability team, or an LCA software company.
Working knowledge of ISO 14040/44, ISO 14067 and PEF, and comfort with ecoinvent or comparable databases.
Practical experience with LCA tools such as SimaPro, GaBi/Sphera, openLCA or Brightway.
A degree in environmental engineering, industrial ecology, chemistry, process or materials engineering, or equivalent experience.
Genuine enjoyment of customer-facing work. You can explain a system boundary to a marketing director without losing them, and tell a customer the data does not support their claim without losing them either.
Structure and rigour with data. Spreadsheets do not scare you, and neither does incomplete supplier data.
Fluent English. French and/or Dutch is a strong plus.
Based in Brussels or willing to move there, and able to be in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Nice to have
Experience supporting CSRD, SBTi or CDP reporting.
Sector depth in packaging, beverages, beauty, food or manufacturing.
Critical review or third-party verification experience.
Scripting skills (Python, SQL) for handling larger datasets.
Experience in a customer-facing role at a software company.
What we offer
LCA work with reach: instead of one study at a time, you make hundreds of companies capable of doing it well themselves.
A competitive package, discussed openly in the first call.
Hybrid by design: Tuesdays and Thursdays together at our Brussels office on Bd Saint-Lazare, the rest of the week wherever you work best.
Colleagues who know LCA deeply, 33 years of methodology legacy behind the platform, and engineers who ship.
A real say in the product you use every day.
